In the world there are plenty of banks, each of which tries to break out a leading position in a given region. Someone is aiming at the level of a small town, but for some it is the control on several continents. Recently gone through the economic crisis has left its mark, forcing many managers nervous. But many of them were able to resist, and some in such troubled times, could only strengthen their position.

Speaking of big banks, is to begin not with the leaders of the lists, but with the newcomers, who had broken into them. It is not difficult to guess that this is China's banks. Among the leading banks were noted Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Construction Bank and Bank of China, which are steadily approaching the top ten. The Chinese economy is booming, manufacturing is growing, so it is not surprising that the banking system of this country has shown good results. It is possible that China will soon be able to provide strong competition to such giants as HSBS or Bank of America.

Until recently there were two leaders of the above mentioned bank, but at the end of 2009 the assets of these banks began to give way, as The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc and Barclays PLC. Large banks in Europe, especially France, Britain, Italy and Germany remain confident in the top twenty. He tries to keep up with, and Japan, for example, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd takes pride in tenth place in the ranking.

Do not forget about the Sberbank of Russia, which occupies the 55th place, although in 2008 he was much further - 66th row. Significant rise is due to a successful year 2009, a failed deal with the concern of Opel and the gradual modernization of the structure. It should be noted that the transaction failed car manufacturer has the best advertisement for the Savings Bank of Russia for all the time, significantly increasing its popularity not only in Russia but far beyond.

In general, the leaders of the list will continue to be the banks of developed countries such as USA, UK, Italy, Germany, Japan, France, but the "threat" from the east will not give peace leaders and managers. As in industry, China has persistently breaks up, improving their performance in all possible spheres.
